Visit to Floors Castle and Kelso
Wednesday 20 May 2020

The TASDAG Spring Excursion is to the magnificent turreted and crenellated Castle and grounds of Floors, built in the 1770s for the Duke of Roxburghe.  Today it is Scotland’s largest inhabited building. The uncluttered interior has paintings by Matisse, Augustus John and Odilon Redon, as well as exquisite Brussels and Gobelin tapestries, and some fine furniture and porcelain. The grounds are equally attractive and contain a Walled garden, and a French style parterre Millennium Garden. There are cafes, a gift and a kitchen shop, and a deli which will all be open and available for your patronage! There will be a brief stop in the market town of Kelso on the return journey.
